OUR HSSE POLICY

A major player in the fields of civil engineering, MEP, precast concrete, concrete batching, woodworking, aluminum and metalwork, and special foundations in Cameroon, KALFRELEC SA strives to prioritize the quality of its work and customer satisfaction while respecting the environment and ensuring optimal working conditions for its employees. Our company guarantees the physical safety of all those involved in its activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, visitors, and local communities. The health and safety of our employees is our top priority.

Our commitment is to provide our clients with services that meet their expectations, and we are dedicated to continuously improving the efficiency of our company. This commitment is based on the implementation of a policy of continuous improvement founded on the principles of HYGIENE, HEALTH, SAFETY, and ENVIRONMENT.

As a manager, I am committed to analyzing incidents and accidents in order to establish a feedback loop that will be shared with staff to prevent recurrence; and to providing the necessary resources to achieve the objectives defined below:

  • ZERO SERIOUS ACCIDENTS

  • ZERO OCCUPATIONAL ILLNESS

  • ZERO DAMAGE TO THE ENVIRONMENT

  • DEVELOPING A SAFETY CULTURE

  • DEVELOPING A CULTURE OF QUALITY

This was achieved through the following actions:

  • Risk prevention related to the execution of our activities : this prevention involves safety inductions for new arrivals, a preliminary analysis of the risks inherent in our activities in order to avoid or even eliminate risks, ongoing training and awareness-raising for our employees and subcontractors where applicable, and also reporting as many anomalies as possible.

  • Adherence to hygiene, health, and safety standards : compliance with legal standards and the implementation of regulatory monitoring allow us to guarantee the safety and well-being of our employees on worksites. This is achieved through awareness campaigns and staff training on occupational hazards, mandatory use of personal protective equipment, medical check-ups, and regular inspections to ensure the conformity of our equipment and machinery. We also ensure that workers are sober (free from alcohol, drugs, discrimination, and harassment) and that we refuse to employ minors.

  • Environmental protection : our activities also take into account the prevention of environmental pollution risks and the management of our waste.

Therefore, I commit to providing the necessary resources for the implementation of this policy. I know I can count on the involvement of all my stakeholders (staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors), whose safety is paramount and who are essential for the continuous improvement of our HSSE performance.

Douala, May 26, 2025
